Spread the love

Hello…my name is Jill, and I’m a fabric junkie.

It started 40 years ago with my love of vintage clothing, and the necessity of having to repair and alter said finds to fit me. I eventually and naturally moved into textiles, drapes, tablecloths and fabric. Fabric is my biggest addiction.

Walking into a fabric store is still very dangerous for me—like I said I’m an addict. If I walk out of a fabric store empty handed—it is–truly, a victory. I have many, many, many, so many bins of raw fabric (textiles, cloth, vinyl etc.) waiting for that perfect someday project.

That someday is here! This entire show is made from the pieces that have been stored and artfully collected over my entire lifetime.

All pieces are hand cut, slowly and meticulously sewn using an industrial walking-foot sewing machine. Most of these pieces are one-of-a-kind as these fabrics are no longer in production.

I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I had creating them. It’ll be hard to say goodbye to some of these works as the memories they invoke for me is over a lifetime.  As we all know we must let go sometime.
